It is a round cherry wood coffee table from Ethan Allen from probably the 70s but is a beautiful piece. It has white marks on the top of it from putting hot drinks/plates on it. How do I get these marks off, or re-stain the table? Thanks.

It’s not something that seems to wash off, so I don’t know what to do to fix it. Do I have to stain the table top? Are there any other options for correcting it? Fiberglass is pretty fragile, so if I drill a bunch of screws in it everything will probably just fall apart.

I also thought of just getting a glass top coffee table, take off the glass, and nail the surfboard to it.
