I thought this might be something that other people have done in the past but I cannot find any info on the net. I thought of using 20″ X 20″ porcelain tile but it may be too heavy and Lowes does not have a wet saw big enough to cut it (you would think they would but they don’t - at least at my local Lowes). I’m looking for something light but sturdy. Other suggestions have been fiberboard covered with some sort of leather cover. I’d really appreciate some info if anyone has done this or has good ideas. I would imagine that you would bubble-wrap the items and then get a freight company like Fedex to pick them up. Is it that easy? Should I consider putting these type of items in crates. But would Fedex etc accept this type of furniture without being crated.

If it is OK to send just by bubble-wrapping, what is the best way to do this to ensure the items does not get damaged?
