I have a coffee table. It has droors on one side.

Is it supposed to face me (the droor side - the decorative side) , when I’m sitting on the couch or is it supposed to face out??

   The uniqueness or beauty of itnow if they will in that case wouldnt invite them backim sure its ugly then they are facing it while sitting down chatting they will in all liklihood comment on it unless of itnow if they wont say anything.
