Doing house cleaning for a friend and she set something hot down on her coffee table. Now there’s a light spot (about 31/2 inches across) in the finish. Is there any way to remove the spot, or to change the color of the finish back? Refinishing this is not an option.

      treat it as an accent on your coffee table… your table will have various stories; mine already has several…

      Sand it out then re-stain it.

      if its not too bad try mayo, it works on light spots and water stains.

      The wood wipe clean with soft dry cloth.

      Try teak oil, this works on water marks.
