What is a good accent piece for my new coffee table?

I just purchased my first piece of new furniture for my loft. I will be buying new pieces starting next year. I am going for a modern theme. The coffee table is an eggplant shape, light birch wood but the legs go up “through” the table about 7″ and a second glass piece rests on top. What would look good on the table?

      The glassbut dont get them over to in tall.

      A Bible or an old book. Also one of those cowboys on horseback in bronze always looks good to me.

      A really nice bronze statue, say a figure of a lady, a nice peice of artwork does wonders and everybody deserves at least one meady oaker priced peice!!

      The glass and wood it could put blanket of fake or real grass inbetween the glass and bet it could be good convo starter.
